Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-05-27

These terms govern your use of the Lumié service ("Service"). By using the Service you agree to be bound by them.

1. About the Service

Lumié is a booking-intermediary platform connecting Korean dermatology and plastic surgery clinics with international users. The actual medical care is provided by the clinics; Lumié does not provide medical services and is not directly liable for treatment outcomes or side effects.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information when signing up. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. Bookings, Payment & Refunds

Lumié charges a booking & concierge service fee — the price of reservation handling, consultation translation and interpretation support — through a licensed Korean payment gateway, billed in Korean won (KRW). Medical fees are always paid by you directly to the clinic. Cancellation and refunds: cancelling 48 hours or more before the appointment refunds the service fee in full; cancelling within 48 hours refunds 50%; after the appointment time (including no-show) the fee is non-refundable. If the clinic cancels or cannot honour the appointment, you receive a full refund.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to provide false information, impersonate others, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, or otherwise violate applicable laws. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

5. Disclaimer of Liability

Medical outcomes, side effects, and satisfaction with treatment are the responsibility of the clinic that performs the procedure. Lumié exercises reasonable care as a booking intermediary but disclaims direct liability for clinical care.

6. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms when needed. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 7 days before they take effect (30 days if the change is adverse to users).

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes arising from use of the Service shall be brought before the Seoul Central District Court.
